Testimonials

Jill has had life-changing effects on her patients. Both success stories on this page were with nine year old patients, whose successes were so transformational that their mothers wrote incredible reviews explaining her children’s stories and histories.

Below are the select passages of her testimonial with respect to Jill’s work. After that, you can read the full-length reviews.

Allergies, sinus problems, and ADHD:

Since starting therapy with with Jill, my son has improved tremendously. He can now breathe out of his nose. His facial structure has even changed. His eating habits have improved greatly. He no longer snores when he sleeps. He used to have headaches and stomachaches very often and now he rarely has them. His allergies have improved. He used to bite his nails and chew on his clothes, he no longer does either of these. He used to stick his tongue out a lot. He doesn’t anymore.

Myofunctional therapy is truly life changing. To be able to see the changes in just a few weeks to months is amazing. I believe by doing this my son will now be able to reach his full potential.

Thank you Jill for helping make that possible.

Post Jaw Correction Therapy

Dalia’s son went through a jaw correction process and saw improved breathing and self-esteem with myofunctional therapy:

…I was impressed by her fast responses to my emails. Once we visited her, I knew she was our best option.

…I witnessed how he is now waking up without a stuffy nose (I used to think that was caused by allergies), he is able to eat with his mouth closed and is speaking in a more clear way. I know this made his self-esteem go up and he’s very excited because he became better at sports too.

Jill’s full Myofunctional Therapy Review for the Grants

We started therapy with Jill Savolt because my son had been having problems for years prior. At 3 years old he was put on allergy medication along with being told he had asthma and was put on medication for that also. He was getting sinus infection almost every month. He would be okay for a week and the next week so congested he wouldn’t be able to breathe out of his nose.

This happened for almost a year. Then I said “something has to be causing all this”, so we had him tested for food allergies. He is allergic to peanuts. But even after removing all traces of nuts from his diet, he was still having problems breathing out of his nose. He was also snoring very loud and then started to have sleep apnea. I decided that he needed to see an ENT to check his tonsils and adenoids. Turns out they were enlarged and needed to be removed.

So we then scheduled the procedure and by then he was 5 years old. They removed T&A and also cauterized the inside of his nose because of the tissue. The doctor said that his nose had been 95% blocked. So no wonder he couldn’t breath properly.

After the surgery he improved, no more loud snoring or sleep apnea. His allergies improved for a while. Then he started snoring and having allergy problems again. So we took him back to ENT a year later and they said that he was good, his airways were clear.

We also started to see signs of ADHD. So one day my husband tells me about the link between mouth breathing and ADHD. So I started doing lots of research on Myofunctional Therapy. I realized this therapy could be exactly what my son needed. So I made an appointment with Jill Savolt.

Another Nine Year Old: Post Jaw Correction Surgery Therapy

In 2016, Jill had another positive review, this time from a mother named Dalia:

My 9 year old son went through a jaw correction process with appliances inside of his mouth for 9 months. After that, Myofunctional therapy was recommended by my orthodontist to help with his mouth habits and prevent his jaw from shifting backwards again.

I started searching on the web because Myofunctional therapy was something I had never heard about. That’s how I found Jill. I was impressed by her fast responses to my emails. Once we visited her, I knew she was our best option. On the first visit she found out that my son was tongue tied – something that was not been visible to any other professional we had visited. His myofunctional therapy was intended to help his brain to learn the correct position of the tongue as well.

She was amazing by keeping my child doing the exercises at home and making him motivated and following his therapy.

I witnessed how he is now waking up without a stuffy nose (I used to think that was caused by allergies), he is able to eat with his mouth closed and is speaking in a more clear way. I know this made his self-esteem go up and he’s very excited because he became better at sports too.

It was a blessing to find someone who is so committed and passionate to her profession and has so much knowledge about it.

Myofunctional Therapy really works. I witnessed the benefits of using it!
